Daily Devotional – God’s Promises for 2023 #5

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 32:6-11. Living a life with no direction is one of the surest ways to add strife and anxiety to our lives. God is in control and leading those will to follow His leading.

“Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
    will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
    you will protect me from trouble
    and surround me with songs of deliverance.

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
    I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
    which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
    or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
    but the Lord’s unfailing love
    surrounds the one who trusts in him.

11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
    sing, all you who are upright in heart!”

God promised to lead us!

This year is not a time for fear and timidity. It is a time for us to hold onto what we know to be true and stand up. God has given us His word and a vision of what is to come.

If we are willing to submit ourselves to the teaching and counsel of Jesus then we will rejoice in His deliverance. God is in control and He will lead us one step at a time as we continue to trust in Him and His strength.

The promise from our God and Father is that He will lead us. We can be confident in Him and His working all things together. Submit yourself to Him knowing that He will carefully guide us with His voice, His word, and His spirit.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that You lead and guide us. Jesus spoke of doing Your will, and I follow in His steps to seek You and Your will in every situation today.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen
