Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Exodus 14:13-18. I tell you about my friends and connections to impress you and have you respect me the same way you do them. When I tell you that God is my corner, I tell you that to instill fear.
“Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. 17 I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. 18 The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.”

God promises us that He will fight for us!
Like a tag team wrestling match, God stands ready and willing to intervene. We are inclined to fight our own battles as though we are proving something to Him. When we are worn out and about to be beaten, we reach out for Jesus to tag in.
God has instructed us to not fight our battles at all. Instead of asking that God will give us the strength and skills to fight, expecting Him to stand in the corner and cheer us on, He has asked us to let Him fight on our behalf.
The promise from our God and Father is that He wants to get stuck in and fight on our behalf. Let us not try and prove a point but cheer on His victory!

Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You are the conqueror of all. There is none that can stand against You and I am so glad that You are in my corner fighting for me.
