Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from 2 Timothy 2: 8-13. God can not but be faithful. It is who he is. Just like I see myself in the mirror when God looks into the mirror, He sees faithful!
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
11 Here is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
12 if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
13 if we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.”
God can not disown himself
God is outside of our time. We only comprehend the time that we see and experience. God stands over time and watches generation to generation in one gaze. He is faithful and true generation after generation. He has not and does not change as we do.
Our opinions are driven by the emotions and opinions of others. As the long grass on the plains tossed by the wind, we are so often changing our opinions and thoughts. We faithlessly continue on our path searching for things that will serve our selfish intentions and objectives.
Gd’s words and promises stand firm from generation to generation. Do you remind your children and grandchildren of God’s words and promises?

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, God that you are faithful. It is who You are and You only know how to be faithful. Forgive me for my unfaithful times and help me to see Your truth and promises in every situation I encounter.
