Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Ephesians 2:4-10. You have been made whole through love. Your salvation is only possible due to the love from God your creator and savior. Love has brought you to a new life.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Saved by faith in love
We place our lives and eternity in the hands of Jesus. We have given up on what every other world religion teaches for the grace and mercy of the Son of God. Our salvation is not based on our efforts and good deeds. Rather our salvation and eternity rest in the balance of Jesus’ sacrifice and love for us.

It is because of His great love for us that God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price. He redeemed not only Israel, but the entire world. Generations before and yet to come. It was because of Jesus’ great love that we even have the opportunity to receive salvation.
I am always amazed at how much I have been given by Jesus. Oh, how I long for the day that I can fall into His arms and express my great appreciation and love. I love Jesus because He first loved me. I wouldn’t know love if I had not first received it from Him. Today I am looking to show love to a world that so desperately needs love. As I love the first one, they will be able to show love to the next.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Jesus, that You love us SO very much. I am drawn to You because You first loved me. You sacrificed and paid the greatest price for me. It was Your great love that has forged this path for me and all around me. Give me Your love today for the world, for Your glory and honor!
