Spring is my favorite time of the year. With all the new life and rebirth, I am energized and filled with optimism. With spring thankfully around the corner, I get to adjust my wardrobe. I am always looking to throw off the winter blues and wear some new fun fashions, and spring is a great excuse for that.
The one thing I seem to get wrong every now and then is that the cold air from winter continues to linger. Early mornings on our way into work can be chilly and so a coat for women over the spring dress keeps us warm even though dressing for the warmer day ahead.
Here are some of the exciting new spring dresses that I have my eye on for the upcoming season.
This dress screams spring season! It is a fun, flirty short sky blue cotton skater dress. Wear it with trainers with graphic soles to put a twist on the demure feel of the shirt collar, tie belt and delicate lace.
• Fastens with a row of buttons
• Removable belt
• Long sleeves
Who doesn’t like a zebra print? Dress in asymmetric skirt featuring black and white motifs which fastens with two drawstrings. The smocked waist and long puff sleeves with rolled-up cuffs give it a romantic look, which highlights the metallic lurex threads and ruffles which embellish the dress.
• Long floaty dress
• Animal print
• Viscose slip
This scarf dress in printed lurex jacquard has an asymmetric skirt, giving the feeling of wearing several scarves. In flimsy muslin, it softens on the skirt into a light flounce. Its smocked waist makes the top billow, along with two butterfly sleeves. Light and transparent, it is finished with a loose underslip with adjustable straps.
• Scarf dress
• Long dress
• Floaty dress
• Smocked dress
Fitted mini dress with graphic all-over print. It is made from a floaty, pleated fabric and features a contrasting Peter Pan collar. Its long sleeves with elasticated cuffs create a slight puff shape. A falsely sensible style that adopts a 70s cinematic vibe.
• Button fastening at back
• Retro vibe
Tulle scarf dress embroidered in all-over stars. It is loose and flowing with an asymmetrical hemline. Ruffled collar and ties at the V-neck.
• Length: 130cm
• The +: the finesse of its embroidery.
• • Collar with ties
• Long bat sleeves
• Smocking at the waist and cuffs
• Knee-length strappy slip
• Raw hem
Share which of these dresses are ones that you would strut down the runway of life this spring.
