Here are five strategies that are sure to give you a fresh perspective on your business and life as you kick those feelings of being stuck, frustrated or unsure to the curb:

1.       Nothing is forever

Nothing in life is forever and that should encourage you to minimize your frustration when you encounter circumstances you don’t like. There is something in your life right now that is not permanent.  If it is something you love, in what ways could you embrace and enjoy it more?  If it’s something you dread, just hold on a little longer.  This too shall pass.

2.       You are either living on purpose or living by accident.

Too many of us get comfortable and wander through life randomly.  We hold on to people, jobs, and things just because they crossed our path and we got used to them.  Then one day we wake up wondering “How on earth did I get here?”  That’s called living by accident.”  In order to create an abundant life, you have to be purposeful in your decision making,

Don’t make your decisions without thinking about how your decision will impact you in the long run.  Pursue only the things that empower you to express your values and talents.  Choose to be around people you feel good being around.  Be inspired by them.  Know your purpose and live it everyday in your work, relationships, health, finances, and spiritual life.  In what way do you need to begin living more on purpose?

3.       Fear Does not always mean ‘Stop’.

Fear is only as powerful as you allow it to be.  Be courageous.  Walk in fearless faith as you step out of your comfort zone and keep moving forward towards your dreams and goals.  Remember, you were created for a purpose, uniquely gifted for exactly what you are on this planet to accomplish.  Fear is typically an emotion that shows up when we attempt to do something outside of our comfort zone.

What are you afraid of right now that is keeping you from your best life?  Commit to making a decision to move forward in fearless faith!

4.       Less is more.

Our western culture seems to be fixated on proving your worth through your money and material possessions.  We buy in to what television and the advertising media tells us we need to have in order to appear successful.  It’s challenging not to fall into the comparison trap as we see what everyone else around us claims to have.

True self-empowerment comes from knowing that nothing material will ever prove your worth.  Your worth comes from who you are – a child of God – and the impact you make in the lives of others.  Don’t worry about impressing everyone else.  Instead, focus on living out your unique purpose as you serve others in a way that only you can.

5.       The power to change your life is in the choices you make.

Better choices create better circumstances.  It’s not what happens to you that most impacts your life.  It is how you respond.  Your choices create your future.  What kind of future are you creating with the choices you are making today?

You can choose to enjoy your life and make a real difference, or your can choose to be miserable and live someone else’s dream.  You can choose to be flexible or keep hitting a brick wall at work or in a relationship.  You can choose to pursue your dreams or keep making excuses for why you can’t achieve them.  The choice is yours.  What new choice do you need to make in your life?

Here’s your new assignment:  from the list of the five lessons above, choose the one that you most need to apply to your life right now.  Make a decision to take an action in the next 48 hours that will enrich your life in a meaningful way.
