My goal for this book was to create a comprehensive, easy to understand and useful tool that will help guide anyone toward starting their own business by profiling how others took the leap. Sibyl White has worked for large corporations such as Mary Kay Cosmetics and Walt Disney Studios, including Hollywood Pictures and DreamWorks Studios. She also spent 12 years working for small startup companies including a small businesses incubator and is a former member of Ladies Who Launch.

Her experience lies in human resources, media and public relations, marketing and promotions, and office management. She has seen the best and worst of both large and small companies and hopes now to take that knowledge and help others follow their own unique path.

She lives near Nashville, Tennessee with her dysfunctional adopted dog, Lexi. Her free time is spent as a volunteer at Saddle Up, a therapeutic horseback riding program for disabled children. Her dream is to start a program for kids in foster care to help them find and follow their passion in life.
