Discover Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards

Discover Faith Hope and Charity Vineyards

It was a beautiful June day while I was visiting a friend in Sisters, Oregon so she suggested that we visit and have lunch at, Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards. My friend had bought property just across from the vineyards, which opened in 2010.  When we arrived it was as though we were visiting old friends, from the kind welcome we received from the staff and owners. The views were captivating- And being there with three of my closest friends I wanted to make sure to get a photo.

As I looked around, I saw a man dressed in work clothes so I asked if he wouldn’t mind taking our picture. He was so obliging, I soon discovered that he was also the owner, Roger Grossmann.  Roger took the time not only to chat about the vineyard, but also to take several photos for us. He than guided us to the tasting area and introduced his lovely wife, Cindy along with their staff. We were given the royal treatment, but I had a feeling this was how they treated all their visitors, as it was also their home and they were proud and gracious hosts.

And a beautiful home it is – Nestled on 312 acres in Terrebonne, Oregon, a short drive from Smith Rock State Park. Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards is a site to behold! With beautiful vineyards, mountains, flowers, and a pond with a cascading waterfall. We sat enjoying our delicious lunch and laughed as we shared memories while making new ones.

Cindy the owner came over to join us, having known my friend who suggested we visit the vineyard. She shared how their dream of a vineyard had come to life. This young vineyard is named after the Three Sisters Mountains; also known as Faith, Hope and Charity.  I had been a resident of Sisters at one time and always preferred the name Faith, Hope and Charity as well as the story behind the name given the three glorious mountains.

Today, Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards is proud to present and share their award winning wines. In such a short time they have established a name for themselves. Despite the harsher temperature changes in Central Oregon, the Grossmann’s harvested their first crop of Marquette grapes in September of 2015. The hybrid grape is said to be the cousin of Frontenac and the grandson of Pinot Noir therefore the grapes are of exceptional stock and their expectation for the finest of wines are being realized.

It truly is a magical place with hidden charm, and a spectacular atmosphere offering party and wedding venues and even 5-acre home sites. If you’re thinking about vacationing or visiting beautiful Central Oregon, which offers unending natural beauty, don’t miss the hidden treasure of Faith, Hope & Charity Vineyards. It’s truly lovely!
