Daily Devotional – When I stand Before My Lord

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Acts 17:24-31. I need to imagine how it will be when I get to meet my Lord without the curtain of flesh distorting everything. I have experienced His presence and know what I am looking forward to.

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[b] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’[c]

29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

fall scents for your home

All creation will worship in a crescendo!

I have closed my eyes and found myself surrounded by the presence and Spirit of the Almighty God. Breaking away from that which I allow to distract me, I am able to see how blessed I am to experience the love and compassion of Jesus.

One day we will be taken away from this physical world and transcend into the heavenly hosts. At this time, we will get a pure experience of God’s glory, power, and might. I am sure that we will all be blown away and fall submissively before the Lord of all.

With the Holy Spirit living in and among us, God and His presence surround us everywhere and at all times. If we do not experience or see Him, it is because we have closed ourselves off. Let us be on the lookout for God and seek Him out in everything that happens today.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that You have reduced all barriers that stood between You and I. Today I do my part to draw nearer and be with You in every way.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen
