Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalms 143:1-12. Here I am Lord, humbly I come into Your courts and presence looking for Your mercy and love. Jesus laid down His life as the greatest sacrifice ever demonstrating the greatest love of all!
“Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief.
2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.
3 The enemy pursues me,
he crushes me to the ground;
he makes me dwell in the darkness
like those long dead.
4 So my spirit grows faint within me;
my heart within me is dismayed.
5 I remember the days of long ago;
I meditate on all your works
and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land.[a]
7 Answer me quickly, Lord;
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.

Humbled by the unmerited love and grace
The enemy of each one of us pursues us relentlessly with a single purpose. Waring in the spiritual realm, our adversary seeks to steal from us, kill, and destroy us. Life on this earth has taught us to build up walls and barriers as high and strong as we can.
The love of our Father though comes to change our lives completely. Standing before the Almighty, I realize that all that I have is nothing in comparison with His glory. With nothing being a worthy offering, I bend my knee offering up my life as this is all that I have.

Lord, teach me Your ways, Your commands, and write them upon my heart. Silence the mouths of my enemies and render their actions useless as I seek to bring You glory in all that I do. Let us not hide from our Father, but rather come humbly with all of our sins and life as our sacrifice.

Thank you Father that You do not turn me away as I approach You. I come before You today with empty hands after being forever changed by Your love!
