Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Genesis 1:9-13. All seed sown comes from God. It is His word that goes forth from His mouth that seeds our visions and dreams.
“And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.”

God provides the seed!
God seeded the earth so that it would bring forth all the plants and vegetation for the earth. The soil and land that He created was good and ready for the seed that He sent out. The plants would be the source of provision of what was to come.
Jesus spoke in a parable about the seed being sowed on the different types of soil. The parable speaks to the hearts of those that will hear the word of God. In the same way that the new good land received the seed and produced the fruit of the seed, so we should be good soil for the word of God.
When we follow the word of God, we are told to cultivate our hearts and minds to be good soil that will receive the word of God. Knowing that the word of God will never return void, let us bring Him glory through our fruit.

Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You sow Your seed upon this earth and into my heart. I submit myself to your word. By Your spirit will You bring forth the fruit in Your season and time.
