Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Genesis 1:1-8. In the same way that light and darkness are separate God split the waters to create the sky and the seas.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.”
God split the living beings with water.
The power of the water can be like nothing else. The waves of the ocean can come up forming monstrous, tumultuous, and dangerous situations. Water though can also bring tranquility and calm.
Creation was created with beings that could live above the water and those that live beneath it. There could never be a crossover from land-dwelling beings to sea-dwelling beings.

When we follow the word of God, we are told about two kingdoms. The Kingdom of God is filled with those that seek His glory and honor, the kingdom of this earth is filled with those seeking their own glory and honor.

Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You demonstrated Your power and might in Your creation. You are above and oversee all that is in this universe. I surrender to you because of your patient loving kindness toward me each day.
