Daily Devotional – Thankful and Praising God

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 100:1-5. When we lift our eyes off of the present situation and challenges facing us, we will see God. As you see God, you will enter His presence with thanksgiving.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

Enter God’s presence with thanksgiving

This year like no other that we have experienced, encourages us to look unto God. With all that, we are seeing in this world at the moment, we need to look unto God. We need to draw nearer to Him and enter His presence.

David has advised us how to find ourselves in God’s presence. By bringing praise and thanksgiving to God, we will enter His presence and the Holy of Holies.

No matter what this year has brought to you, God has created and loves you. His love is never-ending and all-encompassing. Search Him and you will find a faithful  God worthy of praise and honor.

Let us change our view. Instead of looking at everything around us in fear, let us look up at God in faith.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Father, that Your love and goodness are unconditional and enduring. I choose to enter Your presence today and leave the world and its concerns behind. I am thankful for all that you do in my life!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
