Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Proverbs 8: 30-36. The Bible offers us a great blueprint to manage our lives. Following the laws and precepts put in place by the creator will certainly bring greater joy.
“Then I was constantly[e] at his side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,
31 rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.

32 “Now then, my children, listen to me;
blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;
do not disregard it.
34 Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
35 For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord.
36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
all who hate me love death.”
Seeking God’s ways
How well do you know the laws and precepts that God has put in place? Rate your knowledge on a scale of 1-10. A 10 would be reciting God’s word and speaking for it in context. No one I believe scores a 10, but honestly think about where you land. This is not to condemn you, all of us have fallen short!
Considering your rating, how would you raise this rating if you wish to? The easiest answer I’ll have this whole year! Draw closer to God, being at His side day in and day out, and reading His word!
Earnestly seek God! Those of us who seek God and His ways will find Him. Search Him not because of the favor He bestows on His children, but find Him because your life depends on it. The greatest reward is that you will be rewarded the opportunity to be in the presence of the Almighty!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, God, for Your word that clearly speaks Your heart and laws. We can learn Your ways that will benefit us and those around us. I love to be in Your word though because it gives me the opportunity to be by Your side and in Your presence. Please give me Your wisdom and understanding as I seek You more today!
