Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from 1 Timothy 4:1-7. Everything is created by a good God to extend His goodness to those He created in love. We should remind ourselves of God and His goodness in all things.
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
6 If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters,[a] you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.”

Thankful for all God’s provisions
As we take the time to consider and remember all the blessings and provisions from God, we will draw nearer to Him. With thanksgiving in our hearts and words of gratefulness on our lips, we will come into the courts of the Almighty.
No matter where we find ourselves, we have 2 things to be completely grateful for. Firstly, life itself. We are alive not because of or due to anything that we have done. It was God, our creator that formed us and breathed life into our lungs. We live only because of what God has done!
Then we can always be grateful despite any life situation for God’s love, grace, and mercy. We are forgiven and redeemed once again, not by our own efforts, but by God’s sacrifice that Jesus took upon Himself.
Let us then always be thankful to God for the good things that He has given to us! Speak to everyone with joy and love because God has done so much good!
