Daily Devotional – Miracles of the New Testament 13
Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Luke 9:37-43. Sin and our enemy work so hard to bind and hinder us in all that we do. Our Father though created us to live free from the troubles and concerns that enslave the world.
“The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him. 38 A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child. 39 A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. 40 I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.”
41 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”
42 Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. 43 And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.”
God sets us FREE!
It is that feeling and sensation that comes over me that I despise. Out of nowhere, I can become so mad, angry, and violent. It is why the world is so full of hatred and war. Sin is the root cause and it does not want to release its clutches from me.
While we walk this earth, we will encounter sin and sinful people. We need to be wary of them and their efforts to steal all that our Father has blessed us with. In all that we do, do not hesitate to trust and rely on God 100% as He will deliver us!
Let us not be the ones that are of little faith and grieve the Holy Spirit. Walk in freedom and redemption because Jesus has paid the price for it.
Let’s Pray
Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You have faithfully delivered me from all the things that try and hold me down. The blood of Jesus have made me free, and so in my freedom I will sing and praise You today!
