Daily Devotional – May God’s Name Be Glorified

By on April 13, 2021

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 42:10-17. Let all the world bring glory and honor to their creator and King. If not us then all creation and the stones beneath our feet will shout out the praises of the Almighty God!

“Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
    you islands, and all who live in them.
11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;
    let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy;
    let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord
    and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13 The Lord will march out like a champion,
    like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry
    and will triumph over his enemies.

14 “For a long time I have kept silent,
    I have been quiet and held myself back.
But now, like a woman in childbirth,
    I cry out, I gasp and pant.
15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills
    and dry up all their vegetation;
I will turn rivers into islands
    and dry up the pools.
16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
    along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
    and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
    I will not forsake them.
17 But those who trust in idols,
    who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’
    will be turned back in utter shame.”

Let us sing praise and worship to He who we owe it all to!

As one that believes in God’s word and creation account, I acknowledge that everything that I have is due to His provision. I should then utilize every breath that I have to return it in praise of the one that has given us everything.

Have you ever gazed upon the Lord? If you allow yourself the time to fix your eyes upon Your savior, you will not only see great love and compassion within His eyes, but you will see the scars that point to His sacrifice for you and me.

As you fall to the ground in worship, your eyes will catch a glimpse of His callused feet. The feet that were pierced for our transgressions and paths walked. I am healed because of what Jesus did for me, and I will take every opportunity and breath to worship the King of all kings.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Jesus, that Your love and grace were bigger and greater than any glory that You could have ever received. Now You will receive the glory and honor of the whole world and all generations. We will all adore and worship You alone!

In Jesus Name,
