Daily Devotional – Let’s Cry Out to Jesus

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Revelation 3:15-22. If you find yourself in a place where you have lost all faith and confidence, cry out to Jesus! Jesus stands before you offering grace and strength.

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Jesus will meet us with whatever we need

If you find yourself today aware of your shortcomings and failures, you have come to realize that you make a very poor god. We are unable to save ourselves never mind any others that we may even desire to save. There is only one true God, and He alone is worthy of glory.

Jesus has sought after us. Long before any of us even knew of our sin and tarnish, Jesus came looking for us. He paid for His creation with His own life and blood before we had even asked for His intervention.

Let us look past our fears, our current location, and our efforts. We will never be able to attain the heights set before us in our own strength. Cry out to Jesus today, for He has come searching for you and is hoping to restore you to His family.

Let’s Pray

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for first loving me, and coming to look for me. I call out to You today! I can not manage and am exhausted by the effort. Be my savior and be my all!

In Your Name,

Amen
