Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 29:1-11. As we approach our Lord and God, we should be sure to approach Him with reverence. While the lap of our Father is open to us, we need to remember who He is.
“Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of his[a] holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
Sirion[b] like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c]
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
11 The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
Worship with the angels!
The Lord our God and Father is the Almighty. He is the creator and one that holds all the world and universe within His grasp. As the King of all kings from generation to generation, our God is the only living God.
Our Father is the only one that is worthy of honor and glory. As we submit our pride and selfishness before the throne of God, we can truly draw nearer and experience His presence.
Let us consider who our Father and God is and come before Him in worship. Let our worship today be a sweet incense for the Ancient of Days and Most High.

Dear Father,
Thank you that You have made it possible for me to draw nearer to You by the blood of Jesus. In everything I do, may You be glorified and exalted!
