Daily Devotional – God’s Will and Kingdom

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Hebrews 10:11-18. When we seek the will of God in our lives and circumstances around us, God will meet us where we are in all the power of His Kingdom. Where God is, that is where His power and majesty are.

“Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

fall scents for your home

16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”[b]

17 Then he adds:

“Their sins and lawless acts
    I will remember no more.”[c]

18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.”

The new covenant of God is His promise

The old covenant died with Jesus on the cross. The new covenant has God changing us from the inside out through His Holy Spirit. No longer will the religious activities and ceremonies be seen as redemption. Now God instills on our hearts His law and love.

In response to the salvation received, we will want to draw near and glorify God. It was a new experience that we as humans would be compelled to worship and glorify our King and Father.

God has promised to no longer remember all the sins, casting them as far as the East is from the West. Let us embrace His salvation and draw nearer under the righteousness of Jesus our savior.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you that You have given me Your Holy Spirit. I yearn for Your presence and glory. Take joy today in my living sacrifice and be glorified Almighty God!

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen
