Daily Devotional – Who God Says You Are

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from John 14:1-7. Take courage in the words of Jesus. Believing in Jesus as your savior, you have been restored to God your Father and creator. God looks upon you with love and value.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Jesus the Way to the Father

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

God says that you are loved and valued.

As a child of God, you have a place in the house of the Almighty God. Jesus had left earth to go prepare you and I a space just for us. In the same way that He left earth with a purpose, He will return one day with a purpose.

Jesus has never forsaken us, and He left so that the Holy Spirit would come to give us comfort and lead us according to the Father’s heart. One of the Holy Spirits’ roles is to remind us constantly of who we are in Christ. I wonder then that if we are not hearing the Holy Spirit, who is at fault?

As I contemplate this question myself, I am convicted of how overwhelmed I allow myself to become. Perhaps I busy myself in this world to prove how valuable and important I am? It is then that I hear God’s voice and words say “You are mine, and I love you just as you are!”

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Father, that You did not spare anything or anyone to redeem me. I am a valuable part of Your family and You are reminding me every minute of every day. Forgive me for not remembering that You have already placed value on my life, help me to live in the knowledge and acceptance of Your victory!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
