Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 139:19-24. God rains blessings on the righteous and wicked equally. While we live on planet earth, God’s grace covers all of our sins and accomplishments equally.
“If only you, God, would slay the wicked!
Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.“
God searches the heart of all people.
As one that is in love with my God and Father, I struggle to understand why others do not share the same thoughts and feelings as I do. Perplexed by these thoughts, I question those around me with these contrary beliefs and thoughts.

God searches and scopes out all of His creation. He does not need me to be His “bodyguard”. It is not for me to judge those around me, God has called us to love them. When they hurt us, love them some more.
It is too easy for us to label those around us. One of the most common phrases I have heard throughout my life at church is “backslider”. Most people receive this label based on the judgment of others and not the judgment of God. Let us be more faithful to others just as God is toward us.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Father, that You have been so gracious and patient with me. Your long-suffering and consistent love has won me over. Help me by Your Holy Spirit to be faithful to those that You have given to me to love!
