Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 32: 1-7. Let us, the church and body of Christ be found on our knees in prayer today. No matter the circumstances around each of us, let us be on our knees and before our God!
“Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 2 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.[b] 5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. 7 You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
Rewarded for not hiding
So much of our lives are spent hiding from or covering up our errors. Out of shame and fear, we hide our true selves behind our masks and false personalities. God doesn’t want to just wash away your past and sins. How can we remember God’s goodness and speak to His grace if it were just wiped away?
As we come before God, exposing all of our sins, we will humbly stand before God. Our humility will be transformed into joy as God’s forgiveness and love sweep us off our feet.
We are blessed because God has not counted and will not count our sins against Him. Let us not keep quiet and waste away. Shout for joy and sing of God’s glory.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, God, that I can stand before You fully exposed. You know me intimately and continue to love me and chase me. You have created me for You and I turn my focus to You.
