Daily Devotional – Endurance Guarantees Salvation

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Matthew 24:5-14. We are instructed in the Bible to love and encourage each other. We need to encourage each other to stay strong and continue to stand firm on the rock and our faith.

“Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

Those that run the race till the end will win

Jesus warns us to be on the lookout for those that are looking to deceive us. There will be many that will stand to benefit on this earth by their deception. They will trade the riches and rewards of heaven for the short gains and successes on this earth.

People will fight each other for the power to lead and control others. They will not give up and will not consider the commendation by the Almighty worthy of their efforts. Although Jesus warned us against these people, He also encourages us to be strong.

Let us be encouraged today to stand firm for the word of God, the Kingdom of God, and for our own race. You are not alone, Jesus first went before you and there are many that love you that are here to support and strengthen you. As the church, we need to be humble and vulnerable with each other so that God can be our strength!

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank You that You have done everything that is needed for the victory and my salvation. Help me to be Your strength to those around me, so that Your Kingdom may be exalted.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
