Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 52:1-5. The God who set the oceans in place is calling you by name today. Jesus who holds the stars and powers of all universes within His hands wants to awaken you!
“Awake, awake, Zion,
clothe yourself with strength!
Put on your garments of splendor,
Jerusalem, the holy city.
The uncircumcised and defiled
will not enter you again.
2 Shake off your dust;
rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem.
Free yourself from the chains on your neck,
Daughter Zion, now a captive.

3 For this is what the Lord says:
“You were sold for nothing,
and without money you will be redeemed.”
4 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“At first my people went down to Egypt to live;
lately, Assyria has oppressed them.
5 “And now what do I have here?” declares the Lord.”
Come before God in the garments of worship
God who has created us for Himself, is calling you today to awaken and hear Him calling out to you. He wants you to awaken to His call of love. His whisper will grow louder as you respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting.
Know to whom you are called. He is the Almighty, the Great I Am. The Israelites walked away from God at the drop of a hat. They placed their hope and faith in themselves and their own strength. They pushed God away for their own desires.
Scripture is full of examples where people followed their own plans and ideas. God has provided us with the scripture to teach and instruct us. Awaken to God’s voice and calling. He has laid before us the choice, to choose life according to His laws. A life of blessing!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Jesus, for your gentle voice calling out to us. I have heard You and choose to follow You and Your laws. Lead me, guide me, and teach me by Your Spirit as I submit myself at Your mercy.
