Daily Devotional – All Can Repent and Be Saved

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Acts 11:15-18. Jesus brought the Kingdom of God to earth opening the way for all tribes, races, and people to receive salvation. With His sacrifice on the cross, all stand before the throne of the Almighty.

“As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with[a] water, but you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.’ 17 So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”

18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Holy Spirit rain down on us!

John the Baptist came before Jesus, proclaiming that we need to repent and be baptized by water to demonstrate our repentance. Jesus then brought the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to all those that were willing to follow Him with no regard to the cost.

Following Jesus’ resurrection, the Holy Spirit fell upon those huddled together in the upper room. He then jumped from disciple to disciple to lead and guide each of us according to the will of the Father. We are able to say with Jesus that we do the will of the Father because of the Holy Spirit.

Let us repent from our sinful ways and fix our gaze on our savior Jesus, never looking to the left or right. As we focus on Jesus, we will be satisfied not lacking anything on this side or that side of heaven.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that you opened the way to Your throne to all, including me. I come before You and Your throne today to receive Your fill and to abide in You by your Spirit.

In Jesus’s Name,
Amen
