Do you ever feel like this? Rather than take it to this cartoon character’s extreme, here are 3 helpful tips for you to consider when trying to find pants that fit and flatter you.
1. Try on ALL the different fits a store carries. Banana Republic has four, Gap five, Nordstrom’s Halogen label has three and Ann Taylor has three. Ann Taylor recently re-introduced their curvy fit, my personal favorite, as it has a little extra room for curves while still giving a comfortable and great fit. Give it a try.

2.Try a pant or skirt on one size larger than you usually do, and if the hips and thigh fit well, simply take in the waist. Remember to always fit your widest part, for a great looking and comfortable fit.
3. Try different leg openings as well, as your waist and hips will appear smaller with the right leg style. My favorite jeans are made by Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, but the Boot Cut (Sarah) fits and looks different than the straight leg cut. I am partial to the Sarah, boot cut style myself.
