1. Bob

The bob hairstyle has officially made a comeback in 2018. This hair trend was made popular in the 1920s, and it’s back once again. Bobs can be styled with or without bangs, and they look great with a sharp middle part or a deep side part. The bob is one length all the way around your head, and there are very few layers so it’s hangs blunt at the ends. chin-length bobs are particular popular this year. The bob is well suited for both thin and thick hair. Another bob trend for 2018 is to wear it au naturale and let your hair’s natural texture shine. (Credit: Jordan Strauss, Invision)

2. Long Pixie

Last year, super short pixies were on trend. For 2018, you’ll want to go for a longer pixie with a bit of texture. Like other hairstyles you’ll see this year, the longer pixie is more wash and wear, providing you with that stylishly undone look. If your hair is curly or wavy, you can tousle the pixie to bring out your texture, and sweep your bangs to the side to frame your face.

3. Easy-to-Style Bangs

Bangs continue to be trendy this year, and they’re very flattering for certain face shapes and haircuts. Instead of full fringe or blunt bangs, opt for something more wispy or parted off center, like side bangs. This makes the upkeep much easier. Curtain bangs are also big for 2018. This style is parted in the center and swept back, like curtains pulled back from a window.

4. Low Maintenance Long Hair

Women with long hair will appreciate that this this is another go-to style for 2018. As with many others we’ve mentioned, that imperfectly styled look is what we’re seeing. For the long hairstyle, opt for something wash and wear. It’s low maintenance, and good for your tresses because you can avoid using hot tools daily. Long hair looks great with a middle part or a deep side part for a little more drama.

5. Mid-Length Style

If you’re not sold on the bob and you don’t have the patience to grow your hair super long, the mid-length cut is for you. This style falls to around the collarbone, and it’s a great way to subtly freshen up your look. Mid-length hair can be worn with or without bangs, and it looks good straight or with loose waves.
