Why is it that most American women have closets full of clothes but the first thing we say when we open the door is, “I have nothing to wear!”? What if you could put on clothes everyday and love what you saw in the mirror? Pure bliss, right? Women usually love what they buy, yet hate two-thirds of what is in their closets. When exactly does the disconnect happen? When did “I love this new outfit I just purchased” suddenly change to “I hate what’s in my closet”?
Maybe it’s time to ask, “Does what’s in my closet like me?” Do the clothes really flatter my figure and are the colors right for me…are they the right shades of green for my Autumn needs…are there buttons that need replacing…hems too long or short…do they hang right without bunching in places…do my clothes like me because they actually fit me and make me feel like a knockout when I wear them?
In the video (which is also available for viewing on my You Tube channel), I cover the importance of having the right contents in your wardrobe and the benefits of how an organized closet can help get your day off to a great start. Whether you have a stand and reach in size closet, a nice average size one or a larger walk in, boutique-style of closet, being able to find both pair of shoes and the slamming suit that they go can be a daily chore. We shot four segments covering how to avoid chaos in your closet, the importance of dressing according to your body shape, the value of wearing the “right” colors for you and of course, the final closet reveal. It was such an enjoyable experience to talk about what I do for a living and really show first hand some tips for dressing with order.
