Your Hands Made Me – Excerpt from “Beckoned by the King”

Yodh Psalm 119:73-80

The Hebrew symbolic meaning of Yodh: resembles a closed hand or fist clenched to work.

fall scents for your home

Yodh is the only letter that is suspended in mid air.

Yodh is also the smallest letter and was used as the number ten.

Deep in the heart of the Father there lay a dream and a desire that he was shaping.

God Most High sought and longed to give expression and form to that which was rising ever higher in his heart. Everything that we would ever have need of and find enjoyment in he began to make reality long before we even existed.

As he planned, he held the dream, hidden within the enclosure of his hands. At the appointed time he began to speak out of the abundance in his heart. How he wanted to proclaim his faithfulness and love to all the generations that were yet to come!

Wherever he was in his high and holy place, perusing emptiness, he also saw it filled with beauty and abundance, color and light, form and rhythm, life and laughter. He could hear the song of joy the morning stars sang, and he knew the measurements of the foundations of the earth. He commanded the morning light to shine and darkness to fall at evening; he caused the dawn to know its place and knew where the dwelling place of light and darkness was. He created the wind and the thunderbolt and storehouses for snow and hail; he brought rain and he brought life to vegetation. He is the Maker of the morning dew and frost and ice and water; the galaxies, constellations, clouds and lightening are his, as are the rainbows and sundogs, they they all flowed forth from the power in his hands.

Abundance without measure, creativity beyond comprehension – this is the work of God. Ten times God said, “Let there be,” and there was, and there has been and there will be until he speaks again to change what he ordained. The tender, loving hands of God have carefully fashioned each of us, forming us into his masterpieces and commissioning us to work, to receive just wages and to give back to him the first fruits, or ten percent of our earnings.

In our harried, hectic, hurried and worried world, we wonder sometimes at the logic if his command.

If we would choose to look beyond ourselves to his provisional promise-if we would position ourselves to see the love glowing in his eyes as he watches us work and walk-we would win in our struggle to stand against sin and self. The glow of love would draw us ever closer, ever higher. We would bow and, as his servants, be quick to do whatever he tells us to do. Our actions might be weak and watery but our hearts’ motives would be pure and he would take our offering and pour out of the choicest wine.

We are his perfect workmanship, enclosed and hidden within his mighty hands. There we are kept safe while doing the works he asks of us; security is ours, knowing that the might and power of God shall prevail.

Elohim – Majestic, Glorious Creator

We are recreated in Christ Jesus to do the work he long ago prepared for us to do. Not only has he prepared the work, but also our hearts and minds, fashioning our whole being so that we might walk in his works being whole, complete and free, lacking no good thing to do that which he sets before us to accomplish.

Do you live in an ever-deepening intimate relationship with the Lord? Knowing that his hands fashioned and designed every part of you, are you faithful to take all of your cares and concerns to him to work out?

Can you hear him speak? In the silence, are you willing to wait for him alone?
