Daily Devotional – Wisdom Prospers The Wise

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Proverbs 28:11-21. It is easy to believe that we have fooled others, and perhaps even God with our sin. The Bible is very direct about this type of foolish thought process.

“The rich are wise in their own eyes;
    one who is poor and discerning sees how deluded they are.

12 When the righteous triumph, there is great elation;
    but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.

fall scents for your home

13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
    but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

14 Blessed is the one who always trembles before God,
    but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.

15 Like a roaring lion or a charging bear
    is a wicked ruler over a helpless people.

16 A tyrannical ruler practices extortion,
    but one who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long reign.

17 Anyone tormented by the guilt of murder
    will seek refuge in the grave;
    let no one hold them back.

18 The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe,
    but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit.[b]

19 Those who work their land will have abundant food,
    but those who chase fantasies will have their fill of poverty.

20 A faithful person will be richly blessed,
    but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.”

God is all-seeing and all-knowing!

Have you ever experienced living under a tyrannical government? I have fled a government and a country that my heart breaks for every day. Fortunate to leave, I wish I could either change everything in the country of my birth or move the innocent from the extortion.

Corruption and ill-gotten gain are like cancer. The cancerous growth of the power of these few, choke everyone within the country. Freedom and prosperity are robbed from the helpless. The leadership of the country pridefully think that their ways are best!

It is best to walk blamelessly and safely. Confessing and renouncing the sin of your hands and past, releases you from bondage and torment. Mercy will flow from others and God alike!

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Jesus, for seeing all that happens in my days. You see all those that look to harm me, and my fear for You. Rescue me from the proud and arrogant, but prosper me and my family as we seek Your kingdom.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
