Daily Devotional – I Will Sing Forever

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Zephaniah 3: 14-18. David sang psalms and songs as worship and entertainment. Singing allows us to come into the place of worship, into the throne room of God!

“Sing, Daughter Zion; shout aloud, Israel!

Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
    Daughter Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your punishment,
    he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you;
    never again will you fear any harm.
16 On that day
    they will say to Jerusalem,
“Do not fear, Zion;
    do not let your hands hang limp.
17 The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.”

18 “I will remove from you
    all who mourn over the loss of your appointed festivals,
    which is a burden and reproach for you.

Singing out of our joy

This is a beautiful encouragement from Zephaniah. He is reminding us of who our God is. As we consider what Jesus did for us on the cross, and God’s constant workings in our lives, we can only but shout and sing with rejoicing.

So enter into God’s courts with praise and singing. Draw near to worship Him in His throne room. God has been so good to us and as a mighty warrior fights on our behalf each day.

God sings and rejoices over us, His beloved church and body. It is only fitting that we rejoice and sing over our God, sing forever!

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, God, for Your love for us. Your great love and joy for us, Your children, has You singing over us. Like You, I take delight in You and sing to You to bring You praise and worship. I will shout and sing from the mountain tops for Your glory!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
