Daily Devotional – Woman of Noble Character Part 1

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Proverbs 31: 10-18. Paul reminds us to encourage and build each other up. Our hope is that this devotional does just that (1 Thessalonians 5: 11). As you live life as a noblewoman, we hope that you see the profits of your labor.

10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings, she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.

Proverbs 31 is known as the benchmark for a woman. As we consider this scripture, may it not be as a yoke. May it not bring you down as you compare yourself to the woman described.

fall scents for your home

May we consider the wisdom and sacrifice that she makes. As a woman, you are a daughter, wife, and mother. Your devotion to each of these relationships shines through. The commitment you show to those around you is cherished. The recipients of your love can see your value.

As you go about doing all that your day requires of you today. Be encouraged and comforted, all of it is seen. Your efforts to be the noblewoman God has called you to are seen. God first and foremost sees it. Your strength and toil are not overlooked by Him!

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all that you sacrificed for me. Thank you that you gave it all and have been my example. I give my all for You and those around me, that You may receive glory. Use my devotion and tasks to show love and commitment to those around me. May they know my love, most of all, know Yours!

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
