Daily Devotional – Thankful for Salvation

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 104:1-8. God has bountifully blessed us with salvation that has secured eternity. How remarkable that we have been granted security in our future beyond that which we can comprehend.

“Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.”

Maintain a heart of thankfulness!

Forget not what Jesus did for us on the cross. He instructed us to break bread each time that we meet so that we would not forget what was done for us. The symbolism of the bread and wine gives us a visual reminder of what we should be thankful for.

We have been saved from the pit. Relieved from a life void of our creator, our Father has restored us to His family and crowned us with His glory.

Our Father speaks to those that are listening. Let us be those that heed and follow the lead of our Father. May our grace and compassion speak the power and glory of the Almighty God.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that You have sacrificially made salvation available to us. I will never forget the sacrifice of Jesus and those that have paid for my freedom.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen
