Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 26:2-8. I have often shared with my children about the holistic blessing of God. While so many focus on financial blessings, the blessings of our Father cover every aspect of life.
“Open the gates
that the righteous nation may enter,
the nation that keeps faith.
3 You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
5 He humbles those who dwell on high,
he lays the lofty city low;
he levels it to the ground
and casts it down to the dust.
6 Feet trample it down—
the feet of the oppressed,
the footsteps of the poor.
7 The path of the righteous is level;
you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth.
8 Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,[a]
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.”

Peace and a sound mind!
Jesus paid on the cross for our salvation from all that sin binds us with. In faith, we accept the salvation on offer from the Almighty, and faith is contrary to fear. Fear is an emotion, driven and oppressive rooted in sin and the workings of the evil one.
The opposite of faith is fear, and the opposite of peace is discord and worry. God has instructed us that He will bless those that focus on Him and His steadfast love with peace. A peace that will not waiver from the concerns that consume those in the world.
With a peaceful heart and sound mind, we can think wisely and clearly. Let us trust in our creator and savior for He is the only one worthy of our trust and hope.

Dear Father,
Thank you Father that You have blessed me with Your peace. Continue to draw me closer to You today so that I will be consumed by Your love and faithfulness.
