Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 46:6-11. I’m sure that every around the world is asking the same question at the moment. Will the world ever get back to normal? Jesus was the solution to the problems when upon this earth, and remains the solution now!
“Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[d] with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.“
Nations have always been in an uproar
Reading social media at this time seems to be a self hazard. It won’t take you long before you are overwhelmed with anxiety, fear, and many other emotions. The picture painted by the media and “friends” is one of doom and gloom.
I am not here to tell you that it is just fake news. There is nothing new under the sun and generation after generation has faced tumultuous times. There have been many wars before and there are likely to be many wars to come.
I am here to encourage you to be still! It is the words from your God and Father. “Be still, and know that I am God!” There is nothing to fear, for the Almighty God is with us! He is our fortress and will protect us from everyone else!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, God, that You are 100% in control. Help me by Your spirit to be still.
