Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 46:8-13. For those of us that have strayed far from God’s laws and commands, righteousness is near. No matter how far or how near we are to perfect, we need God’s righteousness.
“Remember this, keep it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.
12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted,
you who are now far from my righteousness.
13 I am bringing my righteousness near,
it is not far away;
and my salvation will not be delayed.
I will grant salvation to Zion,
my splendor to Israel.”
Jesus blood has covered all of our transgressions
God has dealt with His people choosing other ways and god’s over history. His purpose has been clear from the beginning. God has desired to have fellowship and communion with His creation.

Sin chooses to go on its own path and glory despite that God knows the end of those choices. Knowing the stains on our hands, God continues to call us toward Himself. God is calling us to shake off our stubborn ways and call on the one who created us.
Let us submit our will and efforts before the throne of God. Jesus died for us so that we do not have to muster up our own righteousness. Let us assume the gift of Jesus and lean into God’s provision.

Dear Father,
Thank you for providing the path towards my right standing with You. I know that without the blood of Jesus, I would never manage to achieve the righteousness that I have through His sacrifice.
