Daily Devotional – Rejoice In All You Do

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Deuteronomy 12: 4-9. In all that we do, we can rejoice based on God’s life-sustaining grace and mercy. God is the author and sustainer of our life.

“You must not worship the Lord your God in their way. ⁵ But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go; ⁶ there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks. ⁷ There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to because the Lord your God has blessed you.

⁸ You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit, ⁹ since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you.”

God’s give you the breath that you need?

God has blessed us with life and He sustains it. He has numbered our days and only He knows which shall be your last breath. No virus nor human can intervene in His purposes and plans. Rejoice in this as He has it all under control!

God has blessed us with all the provisions that we need to live. He feeds us, clothes us and stimulates our minds. He looks after all that He has created. Rejoice because you are His prized creation and He is your provider!

God has blessed you with family and friends. God has placed you right where He wants you. He wants to give you community and have you encourage others.

You have not reached your resting place yet, rejoice in this day and the life God has given you!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, God, for the life that You have given me. Thank you that You alone sustain me and care for all my needs. Strengthen me today to bring you glory and honor as I serve those around me.
