Daily Devotional – Prepare for God’s Word 3

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Job 38:21-30. The inquiring mind of a child asks why over and over again. It can be tiring and borderline frustrating but they are looking to understand what is around them.

“Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!

22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of the hail,
23 which I reserve for times of trouble,
for days of war and battle?
24 What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed,
or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?
25 Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain,
and a path for the thunderstorm,
26 to water a land where no one lives,
    an uninhabited desert,
27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland
and make it sprout with grass?
28 Does the rain have a father?
Who fathers the drops of dew?
29 From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens
30 when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?”

Do you understand why?

No matter how science reveals and helps us understand the creation around us, they have never found the origin. As long as you and I live, we will never live from the creation of eternity like God. We have been promised eternity but we were never at the beginning to witness the creation!

I have been given the creative character of my Father, but my creations will never match or compare to the majesty and awe of His creation. The Lord holds all His creation within His grasp carefully working all that occurs together.

When last did you stand and marvel at the creation of our Father? Let us look at the small and insignificant things around us today and find the beauty and majesty of the ‘Great I Am’!

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that You have created such a beautiful and perfect world for us to experience You and each other in. Reveal Your truth today and I seek Your fingerprint on all that surrounds me.
