Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 86:11-17. I am thankful for God’s compassion and love that has held His righteous judgment in check. If I were God, I most likely would have removed earth and all of its inhabitants from the universe.
“Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.
14 Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
they have no regard for you.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;
show your strength in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
just as my mother did.
17 Give me a sign of your goodness,
that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”

Teach me Your love God.
On the cross, Jesus poured out and demonstrated the love of the Father. History had been leading and pointing to the cross and beyond the cross, God could now dwell with His children.
God’s patience was tested time and time again by Israel and the people upon the earth. The earth’s population grew and so did the number of arrogant and ruthless people that sinned against the Lord God and creator. They sought their own glory and for the world to revolve around their temporary pleasure.
God has been and continues to be patient well beyond my understanding. I pray that God can teach me His love and patience. As I show an enduring grace towards others, may we be people that others know that they can trust in.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Father God, that You are faithful and patient in all things. Your love, endurance, and grace are something that I can be sure of and trust in. Show me today a sign of Your goodness to me and all those around me for Your glory!
