Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Psalm 23:1-6. I will not fear any evil, I will not collapse with weak knees, for I stand by the grace and strength of Jesus! He will never let me go, and will set my feast before my enemies and I!
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Whom should I fear when Jesus is with me?
No matter the path or darkness that tries to swallow my life, I can stand confident and strong because my Father God never will let go of me. I need not fear the circumstances or worry about those around me. If my faith is in God, then I can have confidence when all others would be consumed by fear.
God will lead and direct me as a shepherd leads their flock. In order to be led, I need to give up all my fears and concerns and apply my mind and efforts to trusting and following Jesus.
Let us rest easy in God’s firm hold on our lives and just sing His praises. Look beyond everything around you today and worship God for His grace, mercy, and victory!
Let’s Pray
Dear Father,
In Your Name,
Amen
