Daily Devotional – God’s Promises for 2023 #14

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Isaiah 40:28-31. There are two attitudes and actions that this world requires to function. Missing both or either one of these factors would lead to it all crashing and burning.

“Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.”

God promises us hope!

Hope is what empowers our spirits to continue. Without hope, our soul is crushed and signed to the simplest hardship. It is the things that we hope for that give us purpose and strength to continue the fight despite what lies ahead.

If there is a glimpse of a reprieve or light at the end of the tunnel, then there is hope. From that hope flows faith. With something or someone to hope in, then we have someone to place our faith in. Jesus knew that we would His action first in order for us to have faith.

The promise from our God and Father is that He has given us hope. We hope on the day that we will stand before our Father and be told that we are good and faithful stewards. No matter the challenges and circumstances that stare us in the face, we can look toward the hope of Jesus’ victory.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

gifts or mom

Thank you Father that You laid the foundation for our faith. You have given us something to hope in and put our faith in. I am hoping to see You in all Your glory today and every day till you call me home.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
