Daily Devotional – God’s Children Sing of How He Reigns

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Micah 4:1-5. Nothing will be able to drown out the songs of God’s children. We will sing praises and worship to the King and Lord Almighty. Flowing from a heart of gratitude will be singing of how He reigns.

“In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established

 as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
    and peoples will stream to it.

² Many nations will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
    so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law will go out from Zion,
    the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
³ He will judge between many peoples
    and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
    and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
    nor will they train for war anymore.
⁴ Everyone will sit under their own vine
    and under their own fig tree,
and no one will make them afraid,
    for the Lord Almighty has spoken.
⁵ All the nations may walk
    in the name of their gods,
but we will walk in the name of the Lord
    our God for ever and ever.”

We will all join in one voice in praise of God!

All the powers of darkness tremble when God’s church joins to praise and worship Him. The evil forces can not drain out our voices. So in a world where division is deeper than ever before, it is time for the church of God to join as one, a shining light on the horizon for the world to see.

We can all join together under the common belief of who Jesus is and how grateful we are to Him for His sacrifice. Rather than focusing on the hatred peddled by the world, we can follow the laws and teaching of God.

Let us walk in the name of the Lord and be the banner of His love to each other and the world!

Dear Heavenly Father, 

Thank you, Father, that You have brought us all together under Your church and Kingdom. We are all one and together we will shine the brightest light for the world to see Your glory.
