Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Jeremiah 30:12-17. If you have ever thought that there is no one else on your side, God reminds us that He is. No matter where you find yourself, God stands right there with you, and all around you.
“This is what the Lord says:
“‘Your wound is incurable,
your injury beyond healing.
13 There is no one to plead your cause,
no remedy for your sore,
no healing for you.
14 All your allies have forgotten you;
they care nothing for you.
I have struck you as an enemy would
and punished you as would the cruel,
because your guilt is so great
and your sins so many.
15 Why do you cry out over your wound,
your pain that has no cure?
Because of your great guilt and many sins
I have done these things to you.
16 “‘But all who devour you will be devoured;
all your enemies will go into exile.
Those who plunder you will be plundered;
all who make spoil of you I will despoil.
17 But I will restore you to health
and heal your wounds,’
declares the Lord,
‘because you are called an outcast,
Zion for whom no one cares.’
Jesus is our healer and will restore you
We live in a world that is broken by sin. Sin has not only impacted our spiritual life, but it has broken our bodies. You and I will encounter sickness and illness upon this earth because of sin. None of us are exempt from this, and Jesus demonstrated His compassion towards those He had contact with.
God has promised us that no matter how sin impacts your health, that He is our great physician. He will heal and restore our physical bodies and the wounds incurred.
Let us continue to bring our ailments, disease, and disabilities to God. Despite the immediate results or lack thereof, we must stand firm on the rock and faith of God’s word to heal us. May our faith be a testimony of the great love and compassion of our Father.
Let’s Pray
Dear Father,
In Jesus’ Name,
