Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Jeremiah 29:10-14. We live a fast and busy lifestyle these days. Individually we may achieve in 1 day what 100 people did 40 years ago. It is all too easy to become so busy, but God is always listening for our call!
“This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Have you called on His name today?
Throughout the Bible and history, we can see that God’s intervention is not lacking from His side. So often we are trying to push through and do it all in our own strength. We seem to forget that God is right beside us waiting and listening for our call.

Greater is He that is in us than all powers, principalities, and obstacles. God has promised us that He is always listening and will come to our rescue or aid. Our heavenly Father longs to be loved and chased after. Like all of us, He doesn’t want to be taken advantage of.
Let us wholeheartedly seek God with passion and resolve today. Seek Him with the confidence that you will find Him because He is waiting and listening.

Thank you that You are always attentively listening to my prayers. It brings me such great joy to know that I can call out to You at any time of the day or night. Take joy in my searching of You and Your heart today.
