Daily Devotional – Falling Down Before My Savior

Daily Devotional

Our scripture for the Daily Devotional today is taken from Leviticus 9:22-24. As I fall down prostrate before the King, I sing holy, holy, holy is the lamb that was slain. As a sign and act of worship, I humble myself before the Lord of all.

“Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offering, he stepped down.

23 Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. 24 Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.”

Laying down my crowns at the feet of Jesus

Sometimes it feels as though my words can not adequately glorify and exalt our God. It is at this time that I take my worship to the next level. I worship God with a physical demonstration of my heart’s desire.

Falling face down demonstrates our adoration and submission to the power and authority of the King. It also demonstrates the abandonment of our will. We are helpless and vulnerable in this position of worship and because of our trust in our Father we confidently lay ourselves down.

No matter the accomplishments or accolades obtained upon this earth, they do not compare to the grace and love from the throne of God. Lets us demonstrate our praise and worship for Jesus today in all that we do.

Let’s Pray

Dear Father,

Thank you Father that You have so lavishly bestowed Your love and grace on me. Be glorified and take joy today in making acts and demonstrations of worship.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen
