Cup of Empowerment 4/30/12

One weekend I was enjoying my grandchildren and marveling at how God is answering prayer in their lives. One of them said to me; “Meme, God has been giving me signs all along, I just didn’t recognize them”! One of the ways he was able to see what God was doing was by being enlightened with truth. (Ephesians 1:17)

He had some dreams and some unusual experiences in which we began to unfold the significance with the Word of God and the meanings of colors, numbers and symbols. We “googled” on the Internet and looked up words in the dictionary. We went after it! It brought life to him! What seemed like a bad dream, when you broke it down with the scriptures and the symbolic meaning, ended up being confirmations of God’s hand on His life! He got excited and was able to recognize that God was working in his life all along and was bringing him answers. It was a turning point for him!

Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” As we search out the answers, we press into God for understanding! The word used here for “honor” can also be translated, “abundance, riches, splendor, dignity, reputation and reverence.” As we search out the insights and revelation it positions us to partake of what honor represents. I watched that happen! The more my grandson searched out the meanings, the more confidence he gained in his place of dignity and value.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5) He wants to reveal wisdom and insight!

What do you need revealed to you? Do you need a solution? How important is it to you? Are you willing to set aside busyness of life to press into God? Can you shut off the television to unfold the mystery? Cancel appointments for an appointment with Him? There are answers for us when we do this. Everything we have need of is in Him and in His Word.

Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant who was looking for fine pearls. Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. (Matt 13:45 and 46.) First he was seeking something better than what he had. Then when he found it, he got rid of everything that would hinder acquiring it.

In this season of your life, I pray that He will awaken you to His purposes in dreams, visions and experiences. And that you will unfold the matter and experience the honor He has waiting for you!
