Sometimes nothing beats the taste of a classic, homemade egg salad sandwich. This version has all the traditional ingredients: hard-boiled eggs, onion, celery, mayo and mustard. It’s simple and to the point but that’s the best thing about it.
Ingredients
- 6 hard cooked eggs, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 2 minced stalks celery, plus leaves
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- dash salt
- dash black pepper
- paprika to taste
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients well in large bowl.
- Sprinkle top with paprika and cover.
- Refrigerate until ready for serving.
