Blue Plate Special- Using Plates as Wall Décor!

Do you have pretty plates you love that just sit in a cabinet waiting for a special occasion? The easiest and least expensive way to jazz up your décor is to use things you already have. Just check out some of these knock-your-socks-off plate ideas.

Plates grouped together can make a huge design statement.

Plate hangers usually cost between $2-$5 and can be found at most craft stores.

 

 

 

 

 

The 3 simple rules:

  1. It doesn’t have to cost a lot.
  2. Don’t be afraid to mix different styles and sizes.
  3. Plan first, hang second.

Trace each plate (face down) on a sheet of paper. Cut it out. Lightly tape paper plates on to the wall. Lightly nail paper in position. Remove your paper and you have the hole where you want it.

Go ahead and add whimsy and interest to your walls. You’ll have them coming back for a second plate (look).
