Skinny Ms. Challenges Women to ‘Alcohol-Free April’

Skinny Ms. in partnership with National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) is challenging women nationwide to go “alcohol free” and abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages for 30-days during Alcohol Awareness Month in April to demonstrate that alcohol isn’t necessary to have a good time. Skinny Ms. is dedicated to living a healthy and a toxin-free lifestyle.

The mission of this challenge is to spearhead a national grassroots campaign to highlight the critical public health issue of alcoholism and it’s impact on the individual, family and community, while highlighting resources available to help. This movement is designed to effectively raise awareness on the issues that surround drinking, such as binge drinking, drinking and driving, and the poor effects they have on one’s health.

NCADD Alcohol Awareness Month, founded by and sponsored by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) since 1987, is observed by communities throughout the United States and is a national grassroots effort to support prevention, research, education, intervention, treatment and recovery for alcoholism and alcohol-related problems.
